Please read this first. Purohit is an AI astrology guide, nothing more.
Everything Purohit says is generated by artificial intelligence interpreting a Vedic astrological chart. It is offered solely for spiritual reflection, cultural tradition and entertainment. Astrology is a belief system, not a science, and AI output can be wrong, incomplete or misleading.
Purohit's responses are NOT advice. They are not medical, psychological, legal, financial, investment, career, matrimonial, safety or any other kind of professional advice, and they must never be used as the basis for any decision of consequence: about your health, your money, your relationships, your family, or anything else that matters. For real decisions, consult a qualified professional. If you are in distress or crisis, contact a doctor or emergency services, not an astrology app.
By using Purohit you accept full and sole responsibility for anything you do or decide after reading or hearing its responses, and you agree that we bear none.
Terms of Service
1. Who we are
The Purohit brand, software and technology are owned by BV Solutions Oy (Business ID 3573842-7), a company incorporated in Helsinki, Finland.
If you use Purohit from India, the service is provided to you by BVA Solutions Pvt Ltd (CIN U62011KA2026PTC225654), Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, which operates Purohit in India under an exclusive license from BV Solutions Oy, and your agreement is with BVA Solutions Pvt Ltd.
If you use Purohit from outside India, the service is provided to you by BV Solutions Oy, and your agreement is with BV Solutions Oy.
In these terms, "Purohit", "we" and "us" mean the company that provides the service to you as set out above. You can reach us at namaste@purohit.io.
2. Acceptance and eligibility
By creating an account or using Purohit you accept these terms. You must be at least 18 years old. If you do not accept these terms, do not use the service.
3. The service, as-is
Purohit is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied: including accuracy, availability, fitness for any purpose, or that astrological calculations or AI interpretations will be free of errors. Features may change, usage limits apply, and the service (or your access to it) may be modified, suspended or discontinued at any time without notice. No statement on our website, in our marketing or in the service's responses constitutes a warranty or guarantee of any kind.
4. Free access and paid plans
A free way to use Purohit is always available: creating a kundli, muhurta, today's panchang, basic kundli milan, and understanding your own reading cost nothing, ever. New users also get a number of free interpretive readings to start, more on linking a WhatsApp account, and one free reading returns on a recharge cycle after that. Beyond the free allocation, paid plans (one-off reading packs, and monthly or yearly subscriptions) are available for purchase by UPI through Razorpay, our payment processor; current prices are shown on purohit.io and at checkout.
Fair use. An "unlimited" plan is subject to a fair-use limit of 50 interpretive readings a day. This limit is in place to keep the service usable and affordable for everyone, and may change from time to time; where it does, we will post the current limit on this page.
Reading pack credits. Credits from a one-off reading pack expire 90 days after purchase. Unused credits are forfeited after that; we do not carry them forward or refund them for expiry alone.
Plan periods and renewal. A monthly subscription covers 30 days from the date of purchase and renews automatically each month by UPI Autopay until you cancel it. Cancel any time by messaging "cancel plan" to Purohit; cancelling stops future charges, and your access continues until the end of the period you already paid for. A yearly subscription is a single payment covering 365 days, with no automatic renewal: it simply ends after a year unless you choose to pay again.
Payments and refunds. Payments are collected through a Razorpay merchant account held by Bhavya Dummi Omkarappa, who acts as merchant of record on behalf of BVA Solutions Private Limited; your payment receipt will show that name. Refunds are handled by our team on a case-by-case basis: if something went wrong with your purchase (a duplicate charge, a payment that did not deliver what it should have), write to namaste@purohit.io and we will look into it. There is no automatic or guaranteed refund for a change of mind or for readings already delivered.
5. No liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Purohit, its creators, operators and affiliates shall have no liability whatsoever for any loss or damage of any kind (direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or otherwise, including loss of money, health, opportunity, data or peace of mind) arising from or related to your use of, or reliance on, the service or its responses. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total aggregate liability under all circumstances is limited to the total amount you actually paid us in the one (1) month before the claim arose (₹0 if you are on the free allocation), and you waive all claims beyond that amount.
6. Your responsibilities
- Use the service only for personal, lawful, non-commercial purposes.
- Only share birth details of family members with their knowledge and consent.
- Do not attempt to abuse, overload, reverse-engineer or misuse the service.
7. Governing law
If your agreement is with BVA Solutions Pvt Ltd, these terms are governed by the laws of India and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka. If your agreement is with BV Solutions Oy, these terms are governed by the laws of Finland and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the District Court of Helsinki.
Privacy Policy
We understand how personal and confidential a conversation with your purohit can be: questions about marriage, family, health, fears and hopes. We treat every conversation as confidential. We For users in India, BVA Solutions Pvt Ltd is the data fiduciary and handles personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000. For users outside India, BV Solutions Oy is the data controller and handles personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation. By using Purohit you consent to the processing described here.
1. What we collect
- Account data: your sign-in identity (account ID and email address).
- Astrological data you share: names, birth dates, times and places, yours and any family members you mention.
- Conversation data: your chat messages and voice notes, and Purohit's responses.
- Technical data: basic logs needed to run the service (timestamps, usage counts, errors).
2. How we use it
We use your data to provide the service: computing charts, generating readings, remembering your family's kundlis, and converting voice to text and back. We also reserve the right to review and use your data internally for troubleshooting, quality assurance, and the development and improvement of the service. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not build profiles for third parties.
3. Sharing
Your data is private. We never sell it and never share it with third parties for their own purposes. It is processed only by the vetted infrastructure providers we use to run the service (cloud hosting, the AI model, voice, and sign-in providers) and, for users in India, by BV Solutions Oy as the platform provider, each acting solely on our instructions as our processor, and each bound by confidentiality. It may be disclosed only where Indian law requires it.
4. Where your data lives
Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure: our application runs on Google Cloud servers in India (Mumbai region), and our managed database is hosted in Southeast Asia. Limited processing by our service providers (for example, generating an AI response, or the analytics described in section 6) may also occur on secure infrastructure outside India. These cross-border transfers are made as permitted by the DPDP Act, and the same encryption and access controls apply wherever the data is held.
5. Retention and your rights
We keep your data while your account is active. You may at any time request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, or withdraw consent (which ends the service for you), by writing to namaste@purohit.io: withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. On a verified deletion request or withdrawal of consent, we erase your personal data within 90 days, unless a law requires us to retain it longer. Some records are kept in pseudonymized form rather than deleted outright, so our accounts stay accurate and auditable: payment and subscription records, and referral records, have the direct link to you removed but the underlying transaction history retained. This address also reaches our Grievance Officer under the DPDP Act and IT Rules (Bhavya Dummi Omkarappa, BVA Solutions Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru, Karnataka); we aim to respond within 30 days, and if you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.
6. Cookies, analytics and security
We use functional cookies (keeping you signed in) and analytics cookies. We use Google Analytics to understand how our pages are used: it collects usage data such as pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate (city-level) location, using cookies and similar identifiers. Google processes this usage data on our behalf and may do so on servers outside India. Analytics data is never linked to your kundli, your birth details or your conversations, and we do not use it to identify you personally. By using the site you accept this processing; you can limit it with standard browser controls or Google's opt-out tools.
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and encrypted at rest (AES-256). We additionally apply organisational and operational safeguards.
7. Children
Purohit is not intended for and may not be used by anyone under 18.
8. Changes
We may update these terms and this policy; the current version is always at purohit.io/terms. Continued use after a change means acceptance.
